and the affiliated bodies have confirmed that the situation was under
control in Mi’tiga Airport, and that no damage was sustained to the
airport’s facilities as a result of the assault by an outlaw group
apart from terrorizing residents around the airport.
In a statement, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan news
agency, the Directorate said it has taken security arrangements to
defend the state institutions and ensure the security and safety of
the public.
It said that a number of assailants were arrested during the
assault on the airport.
