The activities of Al Harouj Oil Operations Company for 2017 and the work programs for 2018 were presented in the presence of Chairman and members of NOC and Al Harouj Company, general managers and directors of NOC and the company.
NOC Chairman expressed his thanks and gratitude for the efforts of the management committee and the employees of Al Harouj Oil Operations Company for continuing the company’s activities despite the difficult challenges due to the events that took place at the company’s sites in the oil fields and the ports of Ras Lanuf and Sidra. He called on the company to increase the effort and respond to leaks affecting the surrounding environment and to create an initiative to benefit from the burned gas to be used in power plants.
Regarding maintenance works of the company’s warehouses, he stated that NOC needs to increase the storage capacity in 2018 and called for intensified maintenance efforts for the reservoirs.
Chairman of Al Harouj Company reviewed the security situation in the oil fields of Amal, Tibesti, Alnagha and Ghani which were suspended due to deteriorating security conditions as security situation is the most important obstacle facing production operations.
The company’s 2017 activities and 2018 work programs, targeted production for 2018, maintenance and rehabilitation of wells, development projects and budgets were presented and discussed.
