Minister of Transport discusses with LIA financing Mitiga Airport eastern terminal

Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, has discussed with officials at the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) the financing of major strategic projects, the most important of which is the completion of the eastern passenger terminal at Mitiga International Airport.
This came in a meeting with the participation of representatives of the Qatari company “UCC” and a number of ministry officials, according to the ministry’s statement on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
LIA and the Qatari company expressed their interest in entering into this project to finance and operate this facility, while Al-Shahoubi stressed the importance of the project economically and service-wise.
He also promised to support both parties and provide the facilities required to complete the project, as this terminal is expected to accommodate ten million passengers annually with all its annexes.
