Libyan health sector discussed at German-African Forum in Frankfurt.

Libya’s Deputy Minister of Health for Hospital Affairs, Saad Eddin Abdul Wakeel, has participated in the ninth German-African Medical Forum held in Frankfurt, Germany.

During the forum, Abdul Wakeel addressed the challenges facing Libya’s health sector and the measures taken by the Government of National Unity (GNU) to ensure sustainable healthcare for all.

The event encompassed discussions on various crucial topics, including establishing robust partnerships, efficient emergency health response mechanisms, healthcare infrastructure, technology transfer and localization in the industrial sector, and skill and workforce development in the medical field.

Additionally, the forum addressed advancements in e-health, encompassing AI and e-mobility, the enhancement of local value chains, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), women’s health, and the funding of healthcare projects.
