Labor Minister discusses cooperation with Algerian Education Minister.

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, discussed with the Algerian Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Yassine Merabi, the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of vocational training and preparing young people for the labor market, as well as the exchange of experiences and best practices in this field.

This came on the sidelines of the activities of the 2024 high-level regional meeting on youth learning, skills development and transition to decent work, which was held in Tunisia on June 26-27.

The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation said Thursday that the two ministers also discussed ways to develop vocational training programs and improve the quality of vocational education in line with the requirements of the modern labor market.

The Ministry explained that Al-Abed stressed the importance of regional cooperation in enhancing the capabilities of youth and providing decent job opportunities for them, noting that the exchange of experiences between the two countries will contribute to developing effective training programs that contribute to reducing unemployment rates among youth.

The Algerian Minister of Vocational Training and Education expressed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Libya in the fields of vocational training and education, indicating that this cooperation will have a significant positive impact on developing the professional capabilities of young people in the two countries.

The two ministers agreed to continue dialogue and close cooperation to achieve joint goals in the field of training and qualifying young people, and enhancing their opportunities in the decent labor market, according to the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation.
