Technical teams from the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) have successfully restored well C-335 at the Sarir oilield to production, adding 2,500 barrels of crude oil per day following effective maintenance operations, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Wednesday.

The corporation noted that the well had been offline since 2022 due to missing equipment. “The technical teams were able to retrieve the lost equipment and perform the necessary treatments on the productive layers,” the NOC explained in its statement.

Test results following the maintenance showed a production rate of 2,500 barrels per day with a 7% water cut. The NOC commended the efforts that led to this achievement, aligning with its strategic goal to boost production rates.

In a related development, AGOCO reported in late May the successful reactivation of gas units at the Nafoura field after a 13-year hiatus, further contributing to increased production capacity.
