The Government of National Unity (GNU) has addressed the Secretary of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, that Khalifa Abdel-Sadiq would continue to serve as Minister of Oil and Gas.

A letter circulated through the media, sent by the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, to the Secretary of OPEC, explained that the instructions of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah stipulate that Khalifa Al-Sadiq assume the duties of the Minister of Oil of the State of Libya since last March 20, and confirmed his continuation in his work.

This comes after the Administrative Control Authority lifted the suspension of the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, more than two months after he was temporarily suspended from work, as the Ministry of Oil and Gas announced in a statement that Aoun would return to carry out his work duties after the end of the investigation, and notifying the government of that.
