The National Trailer Company has resumed its production operations to re-enter the competition in the local market.
The step comes after a 13-year hiatus due to difficulties that led to the company’s closure, according to Hakomitna platform.
The government-run platform noted that the initiative is part of the Government of National Unity’s support for the industrial sector, particularly struggling companies.
Established in 1981, with 75% ownership held by Libya and 25% by an Italian company, the company faced bankruptcy at the turn of the millennium.
Subsequently, Libya acquired the remaining share, making it the sole proprietor of the company.
