German ambassador reviews aviation safety, digitalization efforts at Civil Aviation Authority.

German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, discussed the Civil Aviation Authority’s efforts to enhance aviation safety during his visit to the authority on Monday.

On his X account, ambassador Ohnmacht expressed his satisfaction in meeting with the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mohamed Shelbik, who provided him with a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing digitalization efforts and various measures implemented in this regard.
The visit included discussions on the executive steps taken by the Civil Aviation Authority to address the corrective actions mentioned in the International Civil Aviation Organization’s report, as well as outcomes of the previous year’s visits by international audit teams.

The director of the digital transformation project provided a brief overview of the project’s completed stages. The visit also shed light on the monitoring mechanism through the database for airlines, flight crews, licenses, qualifications, and maintenance.
