Misrata Free Zone inks agreement with European giant port.

The Misrata Free Zone and the Belgium Port of Antwerp -the second largest port in Europe- have signed a memorandum of integrated cooperation to facilitate trade and exchange of goods and services.

The agreement also allows the parties to cooperate on training, exchange of experience, consultations, and sharing studies, with a focus on electronic monitoring systems, as well as entry and exit movements through smart gates.

Under the memorandum, the APEC Development and Training Centre will provide studies and consultations as one of the best European training and development institutions.

The agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing economic cooperation between Libya and Belgium, and highlights the collective desire to develop economic relations between the two institutions, the Misrsta Zone stated.
