Finance Ministry signs three agreements with African Development Bank.

During a meeting with a high-level delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, Khalid Al-Mabrouk, discussed the AfDB’s efforts to support and develop the public and private sectors in Libya. The two parties also signed three agreements.

The agreements included technical assistance in the areas of supporting the Ministry in digitization, emergency support for Libyan regions and cities affected by Storm Daniel, and mechanisms for preparing and implementing a strategy for food security in Libya.

Al-Mabrouk welcomed the AfDB’s support for projects that included the water, transportation and transport sectors, and support for small and medium enterprises, in addition to its support for the public finance reform project and the shift toward digitization in the financial sector.

The Deputy Director General of the Regional Office of the AfDB, Malin Bloomberg, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Finance, which aimed to create a strong partnership with the AfDB and enhance investment and development opportunities in various fields.
