Turkish products exhibition opens in Benghazi

The Mayor of Benghazi, Saqr Bujawari, the Turkish ambassador to Libya, Kinan Yilmaz, and the Chairman of Karanfil Group, Murtaza Karanfil, opened on Monday the “Turkish Trade Exhibition” in Benghazi – the first Turkish economic event in eastern Libya since 2011.

38 Turkish companies and 65 Turkish businesspersons will participate in the exhibition, which will last for four days under the auspices of the Benghazi Municipality.

The exhibition presents Turkish-made products, including furniture, home supplies, household electrical appliances, medical and food materials, agricultural products, metal artifacts, auto parts, equipment, oils and cosmetics, according to Anadolu Agency.

The Executive Director of the Turkish Products Exhibition, Mesut Akpinar, said that the exhibition is attended by 38 Turkish companies with offers in various fields, including construction, oil, health, food, clothing and other companies, according to the Libyan News Agency.

According to its organizers, the exhibition aims to improve business transactions between Libyan and Turkish businesspersons.
