The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation visits Ras Lanuf Company to review the progress of work in the industrial complex.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat bin Qadara, accompanied by the members of the Board of Directors, made a working visit to the Ras Lanuf Company to see the progress of work in the complex after announcing its return to work after a twelve-year hiatus

During the visit, the Chairman of the Board of Directors inspected the ethylene plant, which included the control room, the gas cracking compressor system and furnaces, in addition to ensuring that safety requirements were met inside the factory.

The Chairman of the Board was also briefed on the company’s transformation work to provide the ethylene plant with naphtha, praising the ethylene plant’s operations, which are going well.

During this visit, an inspection tour was also made of the water desalination plant in Ras Lanuf, which feeds the industrial complex with desalinated water. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation gave permission to the company to establish a line to deliver water from the desalination plant to the residential city of Ras Lanuf.

During the visit, the Board of Directors of the Corporation met with the Board of Directors of Ras Lanuf Company, as well as the Board of Directors of Sirte Company, to follow up the progress of plans and projects related to operations, safety, and services.
