The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohammed Al-Huwaij, has convened a meeting grouping senior officials from the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the chairman of Libya’s Businessmen Council, the executive director of the Federation of Libyan Industry, and the Farmers Syndicate.
A statement by the Economy Ministry said the session discussed steps to induce private sector activity to ensure the development of the national economy and achieve food and drug security.
The group stressed the need for cooperation between the private and public sectors to address the current situation in the country and to allocate a budget for food security.
Al-Huwaij said the ministry is working to address and overcome the obstacles facing the private sector and business owners.
