Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah received on Thursday Minister of Transport Muhammad al-Shahoubi to follow up on issues related to the Civil Aviation Authority.
The establishment of a new terminal at Tripoli International Airport was the focus of talks in the meeting that included the head of the Executive Authority for supervising the Transportation Projects and the chief of the Civil Aviation Authority.
In 2017, Libya’s Ministry of Transport signed a contract with a group of Italian companies to construct a new passenger terminal for Tripoli International Airport.
The planned terminal covers an area of 21,000 square meters, with an estimated capacity of 4.5 million passengers annually.
