Sirte Municipal Council revealed plans to establish six new schools, including in areas of Al-Zafaran, Al-Gharbia, Al-Qardabiya, Sirte Bay, Al-Jazeera, and Sirte Al-Markaz.
The Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity had confirmed its intention to establish 3,000 new schools across the country during the next three years.
The matter was discussed during Sirt’s Municipal Council’s meeting on Thursday to identify priorities and discuss critical service issues, including education, trade activity, and the health system in the city, the Municipality of Sirte said in a Facebook post.
The municipal council discussed the activation of local revenues by the procedures and legislation in force, and in this context, the council agreed to regulate the activities of outdoor markets that display cars, vegetables, livestock, and others.
