Libya, Tunisia to hold meeting for more cooperation in energy.

The Tunisian Ministry of Industry said the agreement with its counterpart in Libya is seeking to restore bilateral cooperation in the field of oil and gas, provided that this cooperation will be activated by organizing a meeting for representatives of institutions in the two sectors in Tunisia next week.

The Tunisian Ministry of Industry added, in a recent statement, that the agreement was reached during a visit by a Tunisian government delegation to Libya on November 6 – 17, indicating that the upcoming meeting will be devoted to discussing mechanisms for activating trade exchange and technical cooperation in the oil and gas fields as well as the prospects for a win-win partnership in these two fields.

The delegation, which included the Director-General of the Tunisian Company for Refining Industries, held a number of meetings in the energy sector, amid assurances by Libyan officials, including the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, to give priority to supporting Tunisia.
