Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, has called for the need to exempt the private sector from paying taxes on the contracts of its workers, and to render all facilities to the sector, to enable it absorb young job seekers.

In press statement, Al-Abed stated that all percentages published about unemployment in Libya are inaccurate, given that young people who do not work in the public sector have other jobs with the private sector, but employers and owners of private companies do not sign contracts for their workers for tax evasion purposes.

The job seekers system registered about 280,000 young people qualified to work during the past years, Al-Abed added.
