At NOC HQs in Tripoli the General Assembly Meeting of Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company was held on Tuesday afternoon, 26/12/2017 chaired by Eng. Mustafa Sanalla Chairman of the General Assembly of the Company and in the presence of all its members Messrs Abulgasem Shingheer, Elamari Mohamed Elamari and Jadalla Alaokali. Messrs Chairman and Members of the Management Committee of Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company, Head of the Control Authority in addition to managers and general managers of the departments, specialists from NOC and the Company attended the meeting as well.
At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla paid tribute to the martyrs of Sirte Oil Company and Albarq Construction Company who passed away in the tragic incident recently. He stressed the need of taking all possible measures properly to avoid the occurrence of such incident again in future and that NOC was on continuous contact to know its causes.
He added that everyone knew the difficulty of the stage including the absence of security, lack of budgets and shortage of spare parts as well as the interruption of crude supplies from the Company’s plants and the consequences of the Refinery’s going out of business. “However, by the Company Management’s following good strategies through its presence at the Industrial Complex, preserving the units and maintaining them with self-reliance, national expertise, and implementing pre-emptive plans to equip the Complex using the minimum resources it showed the efficiency, experience, responsibility and strong interest in the safety of the Libyan people’s wealth. All the Company’s performance to support the oil sectors whether through consulting firms or by reliable national hands or providing with industrial equipment is done within supporting integration and cooperation, which is the policy that NOC has always adopted and supported.”
Through Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company’s agenda prepared for the General Assembly, the Company’s activity was discussed including its financial activity, the completed projects, impacts of liquidity shortage on the completion of some projects, giving priority to some urgent development projects, the readiness of the Industrial Complex to resume operations and the proposed budget for 2018.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the General Assembly thanked the attendees saying, “We try hard to re-operate the Company’s Complex of Plants and we hope to develop it in accordance with the prescribed plan, because of its being one of the pillars of the national economy. I also stress expenditure rationalization as much as possible by concentrating mainly on the vital projects. We will pay a visit to your Company soon. God Bless Libya.”
