The meeting between the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the National Oil Wells Drilling & Workover Company (NWD), which was held on Thursday, was devoted to discussing the problems and difficulties faced by the company. They also discussed the impact of the lack of budgets on the company’s activity in the field of drilling and Workover.
The meeting was attended by the Members Board of Directors of the (NOC), Dr. Khalifa Abdul Sadiq, Ahmed Ammar, and Hussein Safar and from the (NWD) was attended by, the Chairman of the Management Committee, Abdul Moula Abufaid, members of the Management Committee, and a number of General Managers.
The members of the Board of Directors of the (NOC) stressed the need to develop a new business vision for the (NWD) to enable it to achieve its objectives and compete in the labor market in the field of drilling, especially since it has competencies and excavators to qualify it, renewing their full support for the company and working to solve everything that hinders its progress.
The company’s officials explained that they are determined to develop a strategy aimed at absorbing the size of the requirements of the local market in line with the plans of the operation’s companies, improving and developing the company’s fleet of excavators, and entering the field of offshore operations in the near future.
