The newly appointed Chairman of the national electricity company (GECOL), Mohamed Hassan, assumed office on Sunday, with the company confirming the continuation of work periodically within the administration.
Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah assigned a committee to oversee the handover and receiving procedures, and a ceremony was held in the presence of the GECOL board of directors.
Following the ceremony, the new administration held its first meeting headed by the company’s general manager, Mohammed bin Ismail.
The General Assembly of the GECOL, headed by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, decided during its first regular meeting for the year 2022, which was held last Thursday, to restructure the board of directors and assign a new administration to succeed the previous one headed by Wiam Al-Abdali.
