The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, has discussed in Cairo, with a coalition of Egyptian companies contracted to implement infrastructure projects in Libya, mechanisms of Egyptian labour mobility, and ways to facilitate procedures for granting visas and residency to ensure an easy return of workers and the exercise of their duties.
Al-Abed stressed that there is continuous communication with the Egyptian Embassy in Tripoli regarding labour issues, noting that the coalition of Egyptian companies will work on the implementation of six projects that will be launched after the end of Ramadan, including the third ring road project in Tripoli.
He also revealed that approximately 2,500 Egyptian workers will start the project, with the participation of 30% of Libyan workers as employment and 20% as training, according to the law.
