The Libyan Education Ministry announced, after a meeting in the presence of Minister-designate and Greater Tripoli education supervisors, the postponement of midterm exams in Greater Tripoli Municipalities and set 13 March as a new date, saying the goal is to make up for the time lost during the lockdown.
The Education Ministry said in a letter to all relevant educational facilities that second term classes would take place after the end of exams immediately without a spring break, urging for finishing the suspended classes from the first term.
In late January, the ministry halted classes for two weeks across Greater Tripoli Municipalities, which – together of the late arrival of school books and late start of schools – led to the students in this region being behind in terms of classes compared to other areas across Libya.
