The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health in charge of Ramadan Abu Jinnah inaugurated today, Sunday, the 14th Libya International Forum and Exhibition for Health Care, at the Tripoli International Fair. During the forum, the launch of the first health insurance card was announced.

Abu Jinnah expressed his happiness at attending the largest annual event in the health care sector in North Africa, which focuses on providing the requirements and needs of the health sector.

Abu Jinnah stated that such international forums and exhibitions should gain sufficient momentum to show them, because of their positive impact on the Libyan state, in understanding the investment market, and developing the health sector in terms of building hospitals, clinics, health centers, medical education and training medical personnel.

The forum, organized by Al-Waha Exhibitions Company, with the support of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Unity, will discuss a number of important topics, most notably the irregular flow of specialized medicines, especially oncology, the impact of investments in health public benefit institutions, and the protocol for dealing with international and local donor organizations with the Ministry of Health. In addition to public health insurance in Libya, and school health programs.

The opening of the forum was attended by Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Houria Termal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Masouda Al-Aswad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Omar Al-Kati, President of the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Privatization Affairs Jamal Al-Lamoushi, with the participation of 200 exhibiting companies, and a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors in Libya. During the period from February 13-15, various parties and sectors that seek to raise the level of health of the Libyan citizen will be held, along with medical and paramedical staff and everyone who has a role in developing the health sector in Libya.
