The Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with its Athens counterpart to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The MoU was inked in Greece during a visit by officials of Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, and the ministries of finance and youth, at the invitation of the Athens chamber.

The Libyan side discussed economic issues and the obstacles hindering the Libyan-Greek cooperation, including facilitating visa procedures, resuming air transport, and expanding maritime transport services.

In turn, the Greeks were interested in the opportunities available in the service sector, such as energy, construction, infrastructure, and pharmaceutical industries, emphasizing that Greece has much to offer to the Libyan side when appropriate conditions obtain.
