Schlumberger and Sirte Review Joint Ventures in the Oil and Gas Sectors..

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company, Abdullah Ashwaqi, reviewed with a delegation from Schlumberger the joint future business, technology transfer and localization internally, and drawing clear lines of joint work between the two companies.

The Schlumberger delegation included “Mustafa Ajaj”, the company’s general manager in Libya, the director of the Benghazi branch, “Siraj Bousnina”, the director of integrated projects management, “Al-Minshawi Ahmed”, and the manager of purchase transactions and commercial affairs in the Schlumberger office in Benghazi, “Qais Bounekhila”.

The meeting points included renewing licenses, training, local studies, intensifying workshops for specialists, completing the rest of the programs and projects, and being well prepared to implement the new projects that will be transferred to Schlumberger.

For his part, the general manager of “Schlumberger” Libya “Mustafa Ajaj” said that the company is fully prepared to start its activity in plot NC-101 as soon as the notification is received. He also hinted that paying some of the outstanding debts will have a positive impact on achieving the targets.

The two sides agreed on the necessity of developing programs and plans that help maintain and increase production and overcome all difficulties facing the conduct of operations.

And participated in the meeting, “Abdullah Al-Husik”, Director of Exploration Department of the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company, and “Ahmed Al-Mahhash” Reservoir Engineering Observer in the Department of Drilling and Petroleum Engineering.
