20 Divers to receive advanced training in Italy to help tackle illegal immigration

The General Directorate of Coast Security of the Ministry of Interior intends to send 20 trainees to Italy for two months for theoretical and practical training in marine diving and rescue operations at an advanced level by the end of next January.

The Director of the General Directorate of Coast Security, Tariq Shanbour, said the decision came within the framework of the joint cooperation between Libya and Italy, and in accordance with the agreements signed between the two countries in combating illegal immigration and smuggling.
